St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Optum XL Health Care, Bangalore Recruits Medical Coders

Under the auspices of St Philomena College Career Guidance and Placement Cell, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, an U S based Multinational Optum Health Care Company organized a five week long compulsory training Programme at St Philomena College premises for the post of Medical Coders who already had been selected through written exam and interview. Among 42 students who were trained in Campus placement training program held in the College between 17-11-2022 and 21-12-2022, 36 trainees have cleared the CPC examination and got selected at Optum XL Health Care, Bangalore.

Principal Rev Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro congratulated the students and Dr Radhakrishna Gowda Coordinator of Training and Placement Cell.
