St Philomena College, Puttur a premier institution in the D.K. District in Karnataka has made an indelible mark in the lives of people, in many aspects. It has made an impact on the young minds creating in them an integral personality. It was the coveted dream of Msgr Antony Patrao, then parish priest of Puttur to enlighten, enkindle and enlarge the minds of people of Puttur with quality education; fruit of which is seen in thousands of Alumni who bear the torch of light, which was lit in them when they were here. It is said that the purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows. I am joyful to see the achievements the College has to its credit. May this institution create more and more windows.
