About ICSI

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is a professional body in India that regulates and develops the profession of company secretaries. It was established under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, and operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

The primary objective of ICSI is to promote, regulate, and develop the profession of company secretaries in India. It focuses on ensuring the highest standards of professional competence and conduct among its members. The institute provides education, training, and professional development programs to aspiring company secretaries.

Admissions

The admission process and requirements for becoming a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) can be outlined as follows: 1. Eligibility Criteria: - For CS Foundation: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination conducted by a recognized board. - For CS Executive: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline except Fine Arts, or must have passed the Foundation examination of ICSI or have cleared the Foundation/Intermediate examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). - For CS Professional: Candidates must have cleared the Executive examination of ICSI or possess a Master's degree in any discipline (except Fine Arts). 2. Registration Process: - Candidates need to register with ICSI by submitting the online registration form available on the ICSI website (www.icsi.edu). - The registration process involves providing personal details, educational qualifications, and making the necessary fee payment. - Upon successful registration, candidates receive the Student Registration Number (SRN) and other relevant details. 3. Examination Structure: - The CS course comprises three levels: Foundation, Executive, and Professional. - Candidates need to pass the examinations at each level to progress to the next level. - The examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December. 4. Training Requirement: - Candidates who have cleared the CS Executive level need to undergo a mandatory practical training program called the Executive Development Program (EDP). - The duration of the EDP is about 15 months, divided into three modules of 8, 4, and 3 months respectively. - After completing the EDP, candidates become eligible for the CS Professional level. 5. Fee Structure: - ICSI charges a registration fee, examination fee, and other applicable charges for various services. - The fee details are available on the ICSI website and may vary depending on the level of the course and other factors. It is important for aspiring students to regularly check the ICSI website for updates and detailed information regarding the admission process, fee structure, and any changes in eligibility criteria or examination patterns..

  • DOB Certificate (10th pass certificate) Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for 10+2 Examinations (if appearing)10+2 Pass Certificate/ Mark Sheet

  • Category Certificate (for availing Fee Concession)

  • Identity proof (Adhar card/passport/voter ID /pan card/driving license/ration card)

  • All the files should be present in one of the following formats(jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp,pdf).

  • The maximum allowed file size is 2 MBs.

  • File size of student photo should be between 20kb to 50kb.

  • File Size of student signature should be between 10kb to 20kb
