St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

GUEST LECTURES & WORKSHOPS

Department organizes guest lectures and workshops on regular basis. It provides added credibility to content deliberation. It gives Opportunity for students to learn new things and offers a new perspective to specific topics and exposes students to teachings drawn from real-life experiences. Students get to link classroom teaching with the guest lecture, which in turn helps them better retain what is taught.

Workshop is an educational programme designed to teach practical skills, techniques or ideas which enables students to meet competitive challenges.
