St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Career guidance program on "Be a Brand Yourself"

Department of Computer Science organized Career guidance program on "Be a Brand Yourself" on 12-06-2021, Mr. Shrinivas Bhat, Senior HR Manager, Diya Systems, Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru was the Resource person. He explained how students have to present themselves during their interviews, minute concepts that often people neglect such as body language, outfit, energy levels, etc. which often play a crucial role in presenting themselves. “Positive approach always gives positive results. How you present yourself to the outside world is most important when you enter into the competitive world of the job market” he said. Mr.Vinayachandra, HoD Computer Science welcomed and introduced the resource person, Mrs. Rajeshwari M, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science, proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Mrs. Geetha Poornima K, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science. 250 students of BCA attended the webinar.
