St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.
Since its inception, the Institute has lived up to societal expectations, turning out consistent and appreciable results in academic and non-academic fields. The institution does attempt to treat the primary stakeholders in 5 UG programs and 5 PG programs with a rewarding educational experience.

The Department of Business Administration celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day with a special program themed “Inspiring Success: Alumni Insights on Motivation and Growth.” Mr Srinivas Venkatesh Murthy, Head Global CRMO-O2C of Siemens AG, participated as the distinguished resource person.
Mr Murthy, an esteemed alumnus of the college, shared his inspiring journey from struggling as a novice entrepreneur to becoming a successful business leader. He detailed the challenges he faced in the initial stages of his career, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and continuous learning. His success story left a lasting impact on the students, sparking their aspirations for entrepreneurship.
Presiding over the event, Dr Vijay Kumar Moleyar, urged students to look up to the college’s alumni as role models. He emphasized the significance of utilizing today’s technology in business and encouraged the students to embrace innovation as a key driver for future success. Mrs Pushpa N, convenor of Management Association also was present.
