St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

M.Sc. Physics: Science Model Exhibition at Keyyur School

The students from P.G. Department of Physics, St Philomena College have demonstrated a science model exhibition at Karnataka Public School, Keyyur on 24th of August 2022.

This programme was hosted by the MSW Department of St Philomena College on the occasion of their annual camp held at Karnataka Public School.

The PG Physics students also organized a quiz, a talk on science, and simple chemical experiments to display interesting chemical reactions to generate curiosity in science among school students.

The models exhibited are: Rain water detector and earth quake detector; Room heater; Smoke absorber; Lift; Fire alarm; Laser security system.
