NAAC PEER TEAM VISIT to St Philomena College, Puttur; NAAC Confers the College with ‘A’ Grade.

Puttur January 4: The PEER TEAM constituted by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) visited the Institutionon January 4 and 5, 2023 to validate the SELF - STUDY REPORT submitted by the Institution for the National Assessment and Accreditation. The PEER TEAM consisted of Chairperson, Prof.H.K.Singh, Former Vice Chancellor, Maharshi University, Faculty of Commerce, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi ,Uttar Pradesh; Member Coordinator Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma , Dean, Department of Chemistry, Kurukshethra University, Kurukshethra Haryana and Member Dr Santhosh Koti, Principal, Wallchand College of Arts and Science, Solapur (Autonomous College), Maharashtra.

The NCC Army and Naval Wings of the College extended a ceremonious welcome with a Guard of Honour to the PEER TEAM. The Team held interactions with the Principal, IQAC Coordinator and Heads of the Departments. The PEER TEAM also perused all the Criterionrelated aspects of the College. Interactions were also conducted withIQAC, all Departments, Teaching and Administrative Faculty, students , Governing Body of the Management, Alumnae, Parents, Hostel for Men and Women, and visited every Administrative, Academic and Support Service Facilities All the Departments in St Philomena College Centre for Post graduate Studies and Research were assessed by the Team. The Yakshakalakendra and Students’ Council of the College presented a mind blowing Cultural Evening at the SJM Hall of the College which attracted the appreciation of high esteem by the Team. Later, on January 5, after the completion of all the formalities of the visit with regard to checking the documentary evidence leading to preparing a report, held the EXIT MEETING with Faculty members and Students’ Council wherein the TEAM handed over the NAAC PEER TEAM EXIT MEETING REPORT to the Principal of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro.

On January10, St Philomena College Puttur is intimated by the NAAC with the coveted ‘A’ GRADE.The College is successful in retaining the Grade obtained in the Third Cycle of Assessment and Accreditation.

The entire process progressed with the directions of the Principal Rev Dr Antony Prakash Montiero. Campus Director Rev Fr Stany Pinto, IQAC Coordinator Dr A P Radhakrishna, Vice Principal Prof.  Ganesh Bhat, SSR Committee Chairman Mr Vinayachanra, Faculty members and students co-operated in the process.

President of Catholic Board of Education (CBE), Lord Bishop Most Rev. Peter Paul Saldanha congratulated the Principal and Faculty members on this success. CBE Secretary Very Rev. Fr Antony Shera, Correspondent of the College Very Rev. Fr Jerome Lawrence Mascarenhas have expressed their joyful sentiments.
