St.Philomena College : Campus Recruitment Drive

Puttur: Training and Placement Cell and  Internal Quality Assurance Cell of St Philomena College, Puttur in association with OPTUM ( XL Health ) organized a Campus Recruitment Drive  - 2022.

Inaugurating the program, Mr Orville James D’ Souza, Vice President of India Operations of OPTUM,  said, the company is expanding and in different states  Gujarat, Tamilnadu, Kerala its branches are working and also now operating from Bangalore which is the fourth biggest  IT hub. The company is not recruiting talents only from cities, and its endeavor of Campus Recruitment in semi-urban areas is an intention to educate the rural students with regard to Medical Coding which is an emerging field. We have been visiting more than twenty Campuses in Karnataka he said.

Principal of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, President of the program said, the students have to involve themselves in understanding the concept of learning to find a better position in life by acquiring necessary skills like communicative and practical skills along with problem-solving skills. The qualities like confidence, commonsense, reasoning, and sensitivity are the necessary skills to make the complete personality which are essential to swimming in the currents of competitive world which everyone has to face.

 Mr Clement Joel Sequeira, Head, Talent Acquisition, Mr Bhasker Mandlem ,Segment Leader and Senior Manager – Medical Coding  , Ms Mischelle Pinto  , Senior Recruitment Specialist  enumerated the various stages of company recruitment.  One twenty students have participated in the campus recruitment program. 

Dr Radhakrishna  Gowda, HoD of BBA and the Convener of the  Training and Placement Cell,  welcomed and gave introductory remarks. Ms Bhagyashree  Rai P, III B.A student rendered prayer. Lt Johnson David Sequeira, HoD Sociaology proposed vote of thanks. Ms Nancy Laveena Pinto, Assistant Professor, Dept of Social Work compered the programme.
