About the Department

The Department of Mathematics was started in the College during the year 1958. The Department of Under-Graduate studies in Mathematics was started with vision to impart quality education to rural students and to equip them with knowledge and skill in Mathematics. The department strives to impart quality education by implementing the curriculum of Mangalore University. The Department continuously makes an effort to the holistic development of the students by conducting various academic and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The Department has turned out many experts in the field of Mathematics, the alumni of the department are working for Higher Educational institutions as faculty members and in many other sectors.

Department of Mathematics is dedicated to impart quality higher education to rural students and equip them with Knowledge and skill in mathematics stream and identify their hidden talents and provide them opportunities to realize their full potential and to enable them to become motivated and intellectual personalities and develop the social commitment of upholding the values enshrined in the constitution of India.

Pass marks in Pre University course with mathematics as one of the major subject.
