St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

NDLI Club

The NDLI (National Digital Library of India) Club is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting the use of digital resources and fostering collaboration among users of the NDLI platform.

The National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and NDLI Club align closely with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), promoting lifelong learning and community engagement. By providing continuous access to educational resources and fostering collaboration among educators, students, and stakeholders, the club contributes to NEP 2020's focus on leveraging technology for learning. Additionally, it supports professional development, encourages innovation, and promotes inclusivity. NDLI Club members have access to a vast repository of free learning resources from NDLI, accessible anytime and anywhere. NDLI and NDLI Club are Ministry of Education initiatives under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, aligning with the Digital India Mission.
