A Collage Competition Reflecting Social Awareness

Puttur Nov.14: St Philomena College Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Anti - human Trafficking Club and Department of English jointly organized a Collage Making Competition on the theme of Human Trafficking and Preventive Measures to bring about an awareness among the students to know the most inhuman activities practiced against the fellow human beings which is called Human Trafficking, punishable under Indian Penal Code.

Principal of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro inaugurated the said Competition and appreciated the students for participating in good numbers so as to gain and spread knowledge which they gathered from participating in a topic of burning social issue. Further he said in his inaugural words that one should be sensitive towards social causes to sensitize the society to understand the strengths and weaknesses so as to help the nation to climb the ladder of dreamt success.

Vice Principal of the CollegeProf. Ganesh Bhat, IQAC Coordinator and also the Vice PrincipalDr A P Radhakrishna, Members of AHTC and the students were present on the occasion. Bharathi S Rai, MemberSecretary, AHTClub, St Philomena College, welcomed.Student Council Secretary Anushree rendered prayer.  Student Council President Mohammad Ashik proposed vote of thanksand joint secretary Shivani helped the participants .Fifteen teams of six members each actively participated in this Collage Making Competition which reflected the social concern among the young minds.
