St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Abdul Nasheer shines as Best Raider

Abdul Nasheer, I BBA student at St Philomena College Puttur, has achieved remarkable success as a Kabaddi player. He is a proud member of the Dakshina Kannada Men’s Kabaddi team, which won in the State Dasara Tournament. Nasheer’s outstanding performance earned him the prestigious ‘Best Raider Award.’

The achievements of the team are attributed to the dedicated guidance of their coach, Mr Mohammad Habeeb Mani. The college authorities extended their heartfelt congratulations to Abdul Nasheer in recognition of his accomplishment said Mr Elias Pinto, Physical Education Director of the College.
