St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS SECURES RANKS FROM KSOU MYSURU

Karnataka State Open University, Mukthagangothri, Mysuru announced the rank list on the examination conducted during Sept/ Oct 2022 and Assistant Professors of St Philomena College secured 02 ranks in the said examination. Yashavantha G Nayak Coordinator and Asst Professor in the PG Department of Commerce secured I rank in M.A. Economics and Rev. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director and Asst Professor in the Department of English secured VI rank in M.A. Public Administration. Principal of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro congratulated the achievers.
