St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

BISHOP’S PASTORAL VISIT

Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, President of Catholic Board of Education, Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha will be on his Pastoral visit to St Philomena campus tomorrow.  It is an official visit of the Bishop to the educational institutions under his care. In the course of the visit Bishop will address the students of St Philomena College, St Philomena PU College and St Philomena High School. There also will be a meeting with Heads of the Institutions and the faculty members of the three institutions.
