St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Career Guidance and Placement Cell St Philomena College organizes “Open Job Fair”

The career Guidance and Placement Cell of St Philomena College, in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell and NIIT Mangalore organised an Open Job Fair in Spandana Seminar Hall of the College. Prof. Ganesh Bhat presided over the formal inauguration program and said “Students should not wait for miracles to happen in their lives. They have to improve their skills in order to survive in this competitive world. The marks obtained will help the students get a chance to appear for job interviews but the skills enable them to obtain a good job”.

Sheethal N, Student Counselor NIIIT Mangalore briefed the students on employment opportunities in Banking Sector.

Rishitha and team rendered prayer, Dr Radhakrishna Gowda, Convener, Career Guidance and Placement cell welcomed the gathering, Johnson David Sequeria, Assistant Professor Dept of Sociology proposed a vote of thanks, and the program was compered by Geetha Poornima, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science.  Shrinidhi, Academic Advisor, NIIT Mangalore was present on this occasion.
