St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

College Receives PALO ALTO NETWORKS Authorised Cyber Security Academy Recognition

St Philomena College, Puttur, received a prestigious honour as it was acknowledged as a Palo Alto Networks Authorized Cybersecurity Academy. The recent Bridge Event in Bangalore served as the platform where the representatives of the company formally presented the College with the certificate of confirmation. St Philomena College stands among the select Indian institutions to be conferred with this recognition. Palo Alto Networks conducts comprehensive industry-standard certificate courses in cybersecurity, specifically tailored for college students through its Academy.This acknowledgment opens avenues for students at the College to engage in various events such as hackathons, power seminars, and online training courses. Facilitating the collaboration between St Philomena College and Palo Alto Networks, ICT Academy played a pivotal role in establishing this connection.
