On 15th September, 2022 the students of first MSc Computer Sciences of St. Philomena College, Centre for PG studies and Research, Puttur had organized farewell function for the second year MSc Computer Science students.

Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Principal of St. Philomena College Presided the function , Mr.Govinda Prakash C H, Coordinator of MSc Computer Science and Faculty members of the Department were also present on the occasion.

Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of the college in his presidential remark wished the students and said, “Don’t act,don’t lie,don’t present yourself that you are not. Love the people as they are,when you approach a people your body language itself says how much you love that person.There is no need celebrate a day to show love to the people. Students should be grateful to the institution in which they get education, and should spread good words in the society about the institution. ”.

Mr.Govinda Prakash in his address said that, in this world updated knowledge is essential and can be gained by one’s own effort without any shortcut. He also said that his students should be humble, honest, hardworking and sensible for the situations and wished a better future for them.

The programme started sharp at 9.30 AM with the prayer by Ms. Harshitha and Team of  I MSc Computer Science followed by the Welcome address by Ms. Rashmi P of  I MSc Computer Science. Ms. Shivani of II MSc Computer Science pondered her memories of two year college life. Ms. Maithri Bhat of I MSc Computer Science Proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Shravya of I MSc Computer Science was the master of ceremony.

Soon after formal function various games and competition were organised by the junior students to entertain the seniors.
