Farewell Honor to Retired Prof. Venkateswari, Department of Political Science

Prof. Venkateswari, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, St. Philomena's College, who retired after a long career of thirty-seven years, was recently felicitated at the college.

On this occasion, the correspondent of the Mai de deus Church educational institutions, Very Rev. Fr Jerome Lawrence Mascarenhas said that teachers should love their profession and teacher shows the right path to the students. One should never forget one's educational institution, which has provided a base and value in life. These are the hallmarks of a noble personality. Prof. Venkateswari is such a noble professor.

Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of Philomena College, mentioned that Prof. Venkateswari's personality is such as to win the hearts of students. He said that madam has served the education sector for three decades by handling other responsibilities not only in simple and direct lectures. He said that, her commitment to duty and actions won the hearts of the students and wished best for her retirement life.

The Campus Director Fr Stany Pinto congratulated Prof. Venkateswari and expressed his appreciation for her simplicity and ability to impart knowledge. Dr. Norbert Mascarenhus,Professor of History, gave the greeting. Professor of Mathematics Prof. Ganesh Bhatt was read the felicitation citation.

Prof. Venkateswari, who received the award and spoke, reviewed the academic life path. She remembered all those who have helped in her career.

The vice Principal Prof Udaya was present on this occasion. Prof. Zubair, President of the Staff Association, welcomed and Dr. Dimple Fernandes, Secretary was thanked all the delegates, teaching and non-teaching staff. Ms Varija and Ms Geetha Purnima were sung prayer. Prof. Paul Harold Mascarenhas, Head of the BSW Department was conducted the programme.
