About Us

St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

FDP on Outcomes based education

A FDP on POs and COs  was organized on 01.12.2022  to 03.12.2022  by Staff Development appraisal cell  in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and staff Development, at Spandana Seminar hall  St. Philomena College, Puttur.

Dr A P Radakrishna, Coordintor, IQAC and Mr Vinayachandra Dean of Computer Science , were  the resource persons.

Resource persons delivered  detailed information about POs ,COs & PSOs. They further explained the detailed procedure of mapping POs with COs and PSOs with COs in order to identify the curriculum gap between POs & COs and PSOs & COs. They also explained in detail about direct and indirect assessment of COs. The three days FDP was concluded with vote of thanks by Vice Principal Prof Ganesh Bhat.
