St Philomena College was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

FREE ATHLETIC AND CRICKET COACHING CAMP

The Sports training program was conducted by the Department of Physical Education for the interested children of neighboring schools in Puttur taluk which was held at the college ground from14th December 2020 onwards. Nearly 150 students attended this camp.

Rev, Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas Correspondent of our Institution Inaugurated this sports training camp Mai De Deus Church Vice president Maurice mascarenhas was the chief guest and College Principal Prof. Leo Noronha well comes the gathering and PU Principal Fr Vijay Lobo present in this function.
