St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

ICICI Bank Campus Recruitment

Placement Cell of St Philomena College Puttur recently organized a campus recruitment process for ICICI Bank’s Relationship Officer positions. The college conducted the first two rounds of examinations, resulting in the selection of 10 students for the final round of interviews. Out of these, five students, Raksha Anchan (B.Sc.), Yakshita Rai (BBA), Bhavyashree, Grishma, and Reena (M. Com), have been chosen in the final recruitment round, which took place at ICICI Bank’s Regional Office in Mangalore. The principal of the college, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, extended his congratulations to the successful candidates. Placement Officer of the College Dr Radhakrishna Gowda oversaw the proceedings prior to the selection in the College.
