About Us

St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Kadamajal Subhash Rai Donates Rs 1 Lakh to Computer Education Fund

On the happy eve of the 73rd birthday of an alumnus, a progressive farmer and president of Patriot N.S.Kille Prathistaana, Puttur Kadamajal Subhash Rai, his son Mr Vipul Rai, USA donated Rs 1 lakh to the Computer Education Fund of St Philomena College, Puttur. This noble deed was done in gratitude for the College where his father received education. The cheque on the said amount has been handed over to the Principal of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro. This gesture of Mr Vipul Rai is appreciated by the principal and wished them a future filled with ample health and happiness. President of Alumni Association Mr A.J. Rai, alumnus Mr Jairaj Bhandary, Vice Principal Prof Ganesh Bhat and Faculty members were present on this occasion.
