St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

One-day workshop session titled "How to Plan for Startup-Legal & Ethical Steps"

A one-day workshop session titled "How to Plan for Startup-Legal & Ethical Steps" was organised on April 29, 2023. The workshop's opening session was presided over by Dr. Rev. Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal. The training was led by Mr. Madhuranath R, Head of Marketing at Slang Labs in Bengaluru. 130 BCA students took part in total. Mr. Vinayachandra, Head, Dept of Computer Science coordinated the event. The IIC of the College served as the event's associate.
