PUTTUR: A Campus Recruitment programme on Medical Coding was conducted under the auspices of Training & Placement Cell and IQAC of St Philomena College Puttur . An US-based MNC- Health care and Insurance Company Optum (XL Health) is hiring fresh graduates for the post of Medical Coders. OPTUM as a global team of more than 1,25,000 employees with lot of commitment and passion to transform health care having one of the largest healthcare service Centre at Bangalore visited St Philomena College on 11 October, 2022 for orientation session for the interested students of the college, followed by the initial process with written test and interview. On the basis of performance, 42 candidates were shortlisted. Currently these candidates are attending 5 week long mandatory classroom training programme designated at St Philomena College. After completing the training programme candidates are eligible to appear for AAPC’s CPC certification examination. Candidates   will be called for final Interview upon clearing the CPC Certification Exam and selected candidates offered with joining formalities, induction which follows training in Bangalore. The Placement Officer of the College Dr Radhakrishna Gowda organized the event under the guidance of the Principal of the College Rev Dr Antony Prakash Monterio.
