St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Prof Ganesh Bhat elected as President of Mathematics Forum

 

Puttur: Prof. Ganesh Bhat, Mathematics Professor at St.Philomena College, was elected as president of the Forum of Mathematics Teachers Association (FORMAT) of Mangalore University degree Colleges. Earlier, Prof.Udaya, Kana, Vice Principal of St.Philomena College, was the President. In a forum meeting held at University College, Mangalore, Prof.Ganesh Bhat took the Charge from Prof.Udaya.

Prof.Ganesh Bhat has more than three decades of teaching experience and served as BOS and BOE member of Mathemarics of Mangalore University.
