St Philomena College(Autonomous) was founded by Msgr Antony Patrao who felt that a College in this part of the state would save the people of the inconvenience of moving to distant places for higher education. He set out to realize his dream and the mission was accomplished in the year 1958.

Proramme on Empowerment of Differently able and Senior Citizen

Post Graduate Department of Social Work, St Philomena College,Puttur in collaboration with Grama panchayath Aryrapu, Puttur organised Proramme on Empowerment of Differently able and Senior Citizen at Sthri Shakti Bhavana, Sampya on 31-03-2022.

Programme inaugurated by Mrs. Poornima Rai, Vice President of Aryapu Grama Panchayath. Mrs. Saraswati K, President of Grama panchayat Aryapu presided over the programme. Resource person of the programme was Mr.Nagesh M, Panchayath Development Officer of Aryapu.

Mrs.Nayana Rai, Ms.VanithaPadmunja, Mrs.Nayana Pradeep, Mr.Sheethal Kumar K V Asst. Professor, Dept of Social Work,SPC, Puttur, Mr. Laxmikant Hegde, Ms.Akshatha were present at the programme as a guest of honour.

Mr.Shilpak Mohan welcomed the gathering, Prayer sung by Ms.Jilsha Christopher, Mr.Edward D Souza proposed vote of thanks, Ms.Ashitha Rai was compeered the programe.
